Moment by Moment

Who is overwhelmed at the thought of being the teacher AND the mom? Me too! Yes, I AM a homeschool mom. Yes I DO fight insecurities on the regular and we push through. At the beginning of this school year I had NO idea how I was going to teach MY daughter to read. I had NO idea how I was going to teach my daughter to do math problems. I was overwhelmed and afraid I was going to shortchange her.

Guess what? We are 7 months in. We’ve taken breaks. Cried. Laughed. Sighed. Prayed. Celebrated and tried again. My daughter IS learning to read and this afternoon she completed her first math problem worksheet. How have we done it? One letter at a time. One number at a time. One day at a time. And when minute by minute has been too overwhelming we’ve adjusted to breath by breath. We are a team. We stick together. We do hard things. And guess what? That’s exactly how we will get through everything we are facing right now. Prayer Processing. Progressing. Mommas, when you don’t “got this’ you needn’t worry because no matter what, God’s got you!

Psalm 91 1-2 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
